Renault Launches New Facelifted Model of Duster in India!




French manufacturer Renault has launched the facelift version of the Duster compact SUV in India today. Duster price goes up from Rs 7.99 lakhs for base petrol model RxE to Rs 12.49 lakh for the top RXS AWD model. In the Duster market, the Hyundai competes with vehicles like the Creta, Honda BR-V and Nissan Kicks. Due to the facelift, nothing much has changed in the new Duster compared to the old model. But on a closer look, all the changes are visible. Here is the price list of the new Duster variant.


On the forward side, Renault has updated the headlamps and now these projector units come with LED DRLs as well. Its grille is now slightly larger and the bonnet in the new Duster is slightly higher than the old model. The new model also has new fog lamps and behind it is black cladding around tail lamps, as well as 16-inch alloy wheels in the new Duster. In the new model, the design of the roof rails has been changed along with the front and rear bumper. The new Duster will also be sold in two new colors - 'Caspian Blue' and 'Mahogany Brown'.

Talking about the changes made to the inside, Renault has given the dashboard black color and the new upholstery is used in the entire cabin. The new console's central console has also been redesigned and the AC vents of the car come with silver inserts, as well as being larger than before. In the new Duster instrument cluster has also been changed and the biggest change is the new steering wheel. In the new car, you get a 17.64cm touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution Infotainment System, which includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice Recognition and EcoGuide.


Other features of the car include 4 speakers with ARKAMYS audio and 2 new front tweeters, fully automatic climate control, cooled glovebox, cruise control, and other features. In the case of safety, the new Duster follows the BNCAP crash rules for front, side and passers. The new model has many active and passive safety features including ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, and speed alert. These features are standard in the new car. Also reverse parking cameras, ESP, and hill-start assist are available.



There is no change in engine in the new facelift Renault Duster. Its petrol engine is a 1.5-liter turbo unit, generating a maximum of 106 bhp and 140 nm. Its engine gets two gearboxes - a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. At the same time diesel engine is a 1.5-liter K9K turbo unit whose output is 85 bhp-200 nm and 108 bhp-245 nm, respectively. The low-power diesel engine has a 5-speed manual gearbox, with more power than 6-speed manual and AMT automatic option.
